With the generous support of our members, The Yale Club of Germany has been able to sponsor post-graduate research fellowships at Yale through the Bavarian American Academy.
The Bavarian American Academy and The Yale Club of Germany invite doctoral researchers to apply for one of two available Post-Graduate Research Fellowships at the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition at Yale University.
During a one-month research stay, up to two fellows will get the opportunity to conduct research and participate in the activities of the Gilder Lehrman Center. Thus, they will be in close contact to the experts on site. In addition, fellows have access to all of Yale University’s libraries.
For more information about this program go to the site at the Bavarian American Academy.
Thank you so much to all who have paid dues/donated to the club to make this possible! In order to continue this wonderful tradition, we need to raise €2000 for next year. A HUGE thanks to a very generous alum who has pledged €1000 towards next year, so we are half way there! There are almost 700 members in Germany, so if we all donate the price of a coffee-to-go, we’ll make it. If you are interested in supporting this fantastic program, please just put “BAA stipend” in the subject line of your (in Germany tax-deductible!) donation – and thank you!
